Church Life


Overview


Whether you are new to the church or have been a member for years there are many ways to get involved in the church community. The many organizations and groups offer opportunities to make friends and serve one another. If you would like more information on any organization you can contact the church office.

Badminton Club

Badminton club for Juniors and Seniors. For further information contact the club leader Tommy McCollum on any club night in the church halls or the church office.
Where and when? The church Halls. Seniors, Thursday at 7.30 pm. Juniors, Saturday at 2 pm.

Bowling Fellowship

Two main bowling groups meet throughout the week. On Wednesday afternoons our Senior Citizens’ Bowls meet and on Wednesday evenings the Mixed Bowling Fellowship meets. For further information contact the church office.
Where and when? The church halls. Senior Bowls, Wednesday at 2 pm; Bowling Fellowship, Wednesday at 7:30 pm.

Friendship Club

The Friendship Club is for adults of all ages but mainly caters for the 40+ age group. Activities include guest speakers, social events, quizzes, B.B.Q., an annual outing, and visits to places of interest such as Botanic Gardens Palm House. For further information contact the church office.
Where and when? The chapel. 8pm to 10pm on the third Friday of every month between September and June.

Ladies Keep Fit

Ladies of all ages are welcome to join at any time during the year for sessions of "low impact exercises". A concurrent creche for babies and toddlers is also provided. Activities may also include shopping trips or going out to dinner. Why not come along, or for further information contact the church office.
Where and when? The church halls every Tuesday Morning at 10.30 am.

Men Only

Men Only is called by God to serve the spiritual needs of men of all ages by both feeding and challenging their Christian stance. The programme is devised, under God’s guidance, to address issues which men, young and old, may face. Both guest speakers and those from our church community develop these issues. The evening includes a full meal. For further information contact Alan Strong or the church office.
Where and when? The minor hall (for a 3 course meal) and the chapel on the third Thursday each month from 6:25 to 8 pm.

Men's Prayer Breakfast

Men’s early morning prayer meeting in Eden Craft Café for praise, worship, prayer and food! Breakfast includes orange juice, bacon, scrambled eggs, toast, coffee or tea. For further information contact Alan Strong or the church office.
Where and when? Eden Craft Café, on the Ballyclare Road just up from the church, on the first Saturday of each month at 8 am.

MWI

MWI (Methodist Women in Ireland) is an organisation for the ladies of all ages. The programme is a varied one, made up of both spiritual and fun evenings. This includes speakers from various organizations, evenings of craft demonstrations, visits to other churches for special events and dining out. For further information contact Doreen McGrath or the church office.
Where and when? The chapel, 1st and 3rd Monday of each month, from September to May at 8 pm.

Parent and Toddler

A group for all those hassled mums, dads, carers and grandparents who would like to have some company while their children enjoy a safe, stimulating and fun environment. Why not come along, or if you need more information contact the church office.
Where and when? The church halls every Friday morning during term time, from 10 am.

Thursday Fellowship

Each meeting commences with a cup of tea and includes a speaker and lunch. Transport to and from the meeting is provided. For further information contact John Montgomery or the church office.
